Hi Barbara,
regarding removal of the sissy bar, i succeeded without
removing the back wheel. U have to remove the driver's and passenger's seats, as Justin
described, then there 3 bolts on each side of the sissy bar. one is over the fender, u can see it. That's not easy to remove, be careful not to scratch
the paint. The other two are one under the fender, and one Allen screw vertical under the chrome handles
(those that carry the indicator lights):
just look under them and u can see. After removal of the 6 bolts, just slip the sissy bar out of the seats in the
handles. Note however that the handles without the sissy bar do not
look exactly "great". Maybe u could remove the handles tout court, and
mount some customized indicator directly on the fender.
